To Register ( if you have a Gatineau Access Card)

You may register for courses using the City of Gatineau's web registration. Ville.gatineau.qc.ca

If you do not have an Accès Gatineau card, You may also submit your registration and payment using the instructions in the "To Register" section. One of the mandates of the Aylmer Arts Council has always been to promote and inform the public about art in the Aylmer sector.

One of the first activities of the newly-created Council was to offer art courses. Education is an effective way of engaging residents to learn about art. At that time, only four or five courses were offered publicly.

Today, we offer 25 different courses such as painting, drawing, Oriental Calligraphy, pottery, digital photography and cartooning. These courses are offered by our 14 knowlegable instructors four times per year. The Sessions start in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

In addition, the Council offers many opportunities for it's members. Open studio time is offered every Monday and live model workshops or offered on Fridays.

Our courses are offered on the 3rd floor of Symmes Inn, in the Centre Culturel de Vieux Aylmer and in the Front Community Centre.

Our courses offer registrants one of the greatest variety of arts courses in the area to enjoy for leisure, for culture, for learning, and who knows –perhaps even to encourage the birth of future artists in the region.

NOTE: In order to offer the service in English only, a minimum number of participants and qualified personnel are required. Otherwise, these activities will be given in French with assistance to English speaking persons.
