Ronald Cousineau was born in Hull, Quebec. At an early age, is favorite pastime is drawing. At the age of 13, he receives a box of oil paints for Christmas. He quickly becomes “hooked”.
Ronald studies at Notre-Dame college in Hull, at Superieur college and then at Carleton University. In 1945, he becomes a Federal Government employee where he remains until his retirement in 1984.
During all these years, he never loses his love of painting.
He trains with the following Masters: HENRI MASSON, HENRI LEFEBVRE and JACQUES DUCHEMIN from France. His favorite theme is the landscape. He participated in several Art exhibitions: L'Art dans l'Outaouais, the Aylmer Arts Council, Papineauville, the McKenzie King Estate, les Merveilles du Monde and in Russell, Ontario, where he received the 3rd prize.
