Artistic History:

Born in Gatineau in 1933, Pauline has been painting for more th an 25 years.

Her natural talents have been complemented with formal training in oil painting. In 1984, she initiated herself into using watercolors with Jacqueline Gougeon and subsequently participated in several workshops with the masters watercolorists Zolton Szabo, Joe Robinson, Jean-Paul Ladouceur, Roland Palmearts and Louis Tiengo.

Fascinated by the beauty of nature, Pauline S. Brunet draws most  of her inspiration from nature and absorbs impressions she receives.

The artist occasionally experiments with other mediums such as pastel, acrylic and sometime ink. These mediums offer a real complicity to the work in progress; the silk paper reacts and presents new avenues and techniques which stimulate her artistic creativity .

Pauline has received several awards since the beginning of her artistic career. Her work is found in numerous public and private collections, including Loto-Québec, La Caisse Populaire St-Raymond de Hull, City of Gatineau, and The municipality of Cantley.
