Magda Hanna is a native of Egypt, the land of sun and jasmine. Her work has been recognized:
One Best in Show Award1, one Award of Excellence 2, four First Prizes 3, one Second Prize 4, one Third Prize 5 two Honorable Mentions 6 and two Certificates of Merit 7.
Participating in the Art of Nature Festival at the Ottawa Museum of Nature8, the Todmorden Mill Museum in Toronto9 and the Ecofoire of the city of Gatineau.
Being guest of a Radio Canada TV10 and TV511 and other local TV shows.
Having two of her pictures, at the Canadian Museum of Civilization’s collection for the artistic and Ethnological dimensions.
Since 1990, Magda participated in exhibits in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Gatineau etc… She continues in solo12 or with different art groups.
This self-taught artist has been incorporating powder minerals and flora into her artwork since 1987 – flowers, leaves, branches.
She acquires the love of creativity and beauty.
Self-taught, since 1987, she recycles in her art the "FLORA "
(Flowers, leaves, sprigs, as well as pigments and powdered minerals) :
- Choosing from nature the ones with lasting colors.
- Composing from this medium her work that is exclusive
- Extending the usefulness and enjoyment of the flora,
- Giving them a permanent stay and meaning.
- Protecting the artworks with an anti-U.V. glass
- Promoting an environmentally friendly idea
- Transforming this organic and ecological medium into images of landscapes and figures that have touched her.
- Reversing the relation between art and nature

Magda is a member of the Aylmer Arts Council, the Intercultural Council of the Outaouais, The Regional Council of Culture in the Outaouais and the Ottawa Arts Association.
