George Richard was born in Hull in 1940 and has been a resident of the Aylmer sector of the city of Gatineau for 50 years.
This artist was a student of the world renowned Henri Masson. However, it was only in the '80s that he began painting seriously. Although at the beginning painting was strictly part-time, he is now devoted to his work as an artist. He is commissioned on a regular basis. His art work has sold in many Ottawa and Gatineau Art galleries. Every year, he participates in three regional exhibitions.
