Brian Seed

Brian was born in Grand'mère, Quebec in 1938 and grew up in Maniwaki, Quebec.

He attended Ashbury College and Carleton University. Mainly self-taught, workshops with notable artists Tom Lynch, Tony Couch, Jack Reid and Ottawa's own watercolour guru, Morton Baslaw, have had a large influence on his ever emerging style.

Since retiring in 2003, he has been more active than ever in his second career.

He lives and paints from his studio in Gatineau and his work is a reflection of the many beautiful landscape scenes of the area. Brian is a member of The Ottawa Watercolour Society, the Ottawa Art Association, the Manotick Art Association and the Aylmer Arts Council.
