Born in Hull, Andrée has lived in the Aylmer sector of Gatineau for the last 25 years.

She demonstrated a gift for drawing when she was very young. When she was 10, her parents registered her for courses with Madeleine Leblanc, a painter in the Outaouais.

Under her guidance, Andrée learned drawing, and soon graduated to working with gouache, charcoal, pastel and oil paints. Her studies and other factors led her to a career in industrial design. This training is reflected in the realism of some of her work.

A busy career forced Andrée to set aside painting for a time. After retirement in 2000, she started a whole new career in horticulture and picked up her paintbrush once again.

Favourite subjects include landscapes on canvas, bodies of water, flowers and golf courses, rendered in oil or acrylic.
